We are committed to handling your data lawfully, fairly and transparently, in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and other applicable data-protection laws in the markets we serve.

By using our website or subscribing to our communications, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or submit your information.

1. Who we are

GrowthIntelAfrica is an SME intelligence, research and advisory company operating from Lagos, Nigeria, publishing across African markets. For any privacy-related question or request, contact us at [email protected].

2. The data we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to provide our service. Specifically:

• Email address — when you subscribe to the CEO Brief or request updates.
• Any information you choose to send us — for example, when you email us or make an advisory enquiry, including your name, business and the content of your message.
• Usage and device data — collected automatically through privacy-respecting analytics, such as pages visited, approximate region, browser type and referring source. This helps us understand what content is useful. Where possible we use analytics that do not track you across other websites.

What we do NOT collect through our tools: Our interactive tools, such as the Business Health Check, run entirely in your browser. The answers you enter are used only to calculate your result on your own device and are not transmitted to, stored by, or seen by us unless you separately choose to contact us and share them.

3. How we use your data

We use your personal data to:

• Send you the CEO Brief and related intelligence you subscribed to receive;
• Respond to your enquiries and provide advisory services you request;
• Understand and improve how our content and website are used;

5. Email and our newsletter provider

Our newsletters are managed and delivered through a third-party email service provider (currently MailerLite), which stores subscriber email addresses on our behalf under its own security and privacy commitments. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. When you unsubscribe, we stop sending you communications and will remove or suppress your address in line with our retention practices.

6. Sharing your data

We share personal data only in limited circumstances:

• With trusted service providers who help us operate (for example, our email platform, hosting and analytics providers), under agreements that require them to protect your data;
• Where required by law, regulation, legal process or a lawful request by a competent authority;
